Home Learning Routine

Home Learning is an essential part of your child's schooling. It provides a time for practice, reflection, and reinforces skills learned in class.  The suggested time frame for completion should be around 45 minutes per day.  Below you will find a sample of our Home Learning routine. We will work on a specific "theme" for two weeks. Thus, the corresponding home learning routine repeats itself every two weeks. Please read and follow the routine listed below. (Please note: Home Learning is subject to change and sent upon teacher's discretion.)

 

Monday:

1. Vocabulary Boxes: 2 words per day (Week 1) or Spelling: 3 times each (Week 2)

2. Read a book for 30 minutes or complete i-Ready/Imagine.

 

Tuesday:

1. Vocabulary Boxes: 2 words per day (Week 1) or Spelling: Pick from menu (Week 2)

2. Read a book for 30 minutes or complete i-Ready/Imagine.

 

Wednesday:

1. Vocabulary Boxes: 2 words per day (Week 1) or Spelling: Pick from menu (Week 2)

2. Read a book for 30 minutes or complete i-Ready/Imagine.

 

Thursday:

1. Study vocabulary words and/or spelling words.

2. Grammar Practice Sheet* given at teacher's discretion.

2. Read a book for 30 minutes or complete i-Ready/Imagine.

 

Friday:

1. Read-Aloud Assignment

2. Read a book for 30 minutes or complete i-Ready/Imagine.

 

 

*Make sure your parent signs your completed Read-Aloud to return on Monday.*
